What a disappointment

I know i promised some great pictures now that I'm in Afghanistan but things are not so good here, photography-wise. I am stuck on base only, the light is really hard and EVERYTHING is beige thanks to this moon dust covered land. It isn't pretty.

Not only that but the internet is very very slow, especially uploading.

Long time

Going to Afghanistan soon so very little updates but pics of Afghanistan when I can update!

I was determined, no more flowers!!

But how could I pass up the Lakewood gardens I randomly found? Also a rare treat, all my pictures are full sized today!!

So I was out taking pictures of not a whole lot (I need a macro lens) and I heard a train coming. I got rather close and took a few pics as it whipped by

Woah

I had been trying to take a picture of the downward hanging purple flower with a yellow center (see below) for some time. Little did I know that this flower is very very similar to deadly nightshade!!

One window is broken and a bird was trapped inside trying to get out of the other window

While out taking pictures these little buggers' spikes come off and dig into my socks so I had to take a picture of them

Timing

Well I was out in the middle of WV desperate for something to take a picture of so I climbed this very steep, loose slate incline and when I got to the top, there was nothing! Not a single thing to take a picture of.


Not a minute later, the sun set behind a ridge of trees and lit up the clouds!

Got some weird trips so no pictures for awhile

I thought these flowers were neat because they naturally are wrinkled
